Established in 1935 by Cecil Compton.

Cecil started out digging footings for houses and commercial buildings before starting the company. C Compton Ltd originally focused on groundwork, site clearance and tree felling before moving into major site demolition, scrap metal dealing and general building works. This became Cecil's primary business.

In 1953 the company expanded once again, this time into haulage. With a fleet of 50+ lorries, trucks, cranes, caterpillar diggers and bulldozers. C Compton Ltd provided services primarily in the south of England, before branching out across all of Europe.

Since 2004, we have grown our business into focusing on truck and lorry sales, building and letting commercial units and selling and renting containers for storage.
